I want to hide my performance from my broker/exchange to prevent them front-running my orders. I was thinking of executing my trades in an account with one broker on one day, then with the other broker next day, etc. Would it be better to alternate the accounts weekly? Or do you think I am paranoid and even if I shouted out my orders in public this would not affect my strategy? Any other ideas you suggest?
On second thought, I guess the most practical solution is to switch brokers, opening corporate accounts in different names every 12 months or so. Before anyone notices and the word spreads around you close the shop and move elsewhere. You can grow like that forever.
My vote goes to being paranoid :/. Work and focus on your edge. Besides, the NSA is already tracking your network and front running that way.
If you can grow $5000 to 1 million in a year, then you probably have reason to be panaroid, if not, dont worry about it.
To me it is incredible how many small fries think a broker/HFT cares about their orders. Dunning and Kruger needed to only look at the market to provide proof for their theory.
In order to be that paranoid, you must believe that you have truly outstanding performance. That out of all the clients that your broker / exchange could track, that they would be especially interested in what you are doing. Probably a bit too paranoid.
You can not hide from Chinese and Russian hackers. Within months, every rogue government and terrorist group will begin accumulating wealth through your methods and take down the worlds critical grids and systems. End of days as we know it. Unfortunately for you, you will be memorialized in history as the one who created the method. NWO law will ban your methods of trading, and you will spend the rest of your days on the run, from spider hole to spider hole. Damn... this post makes me a person of interest in your capture. Time to go....
Unless your performance is legendary like Simmons or Drukenmiller to name a few, or you have over a billion I would not worry about it.
