Hey Baron, is there any way you could make it so we can upload charts into the chatroom? Currently you can only add links, and that means you cant put markers on it to explain stuff, is there anyway you could make it so we could upload a chart to the chat if we want to post it? Thx alot for any response, and thx for the chat its a cool new feature!
Unfortunately, this is where we get into the difference between a forum and a real-time feature like the chat. File uploads are just way beyond the scope of the current chat environment. What I could do is create a Media Gallery that would allow you to create your own album of images and just upload whatever charts you want to that album. Once you annotate a chart and upload it into your album, you could just post the link to that image into the chat so it will show up in the chat room for everybody to see.
Used to be a section in chit chat for posting charts, takes 3 seconds and you got a link to upload to the chat.
Yeah, that would be cool, or else, we could start a thread in chit chat for the sole purpose of posting charts, let me know what you would prefer. The album would be nice too, like i tried just starting a private thread with myself so i could post them there, but then they dont upload to the chat. It would be nice to have a private area to upload charts so you could posts whatever in chat and not necessarily post all of the charts you are trading in a public area,i liketoremain anonymous, so if we just had a thread topost charts, im not sure it would work as i it would be a dead giveaway to who i am, and how i trade if someone had a thread of every chart i traded. You do Print Screen and save the chart as a file and then use imgur to host it as a link to post it in chat....couple of steps though so only do it if you really need a chart posted...
If you have windows seven or later its easier to use the snipping tool, as opposed to print screen on 8 different screens, just hit the windows button (beside alt), then search "snipping tool", it allows you to cut a picture of exactly what you want as opposed to pasting 8 different screens into paint, pretty valuable for sharing trading info imo.
