Going to our local mall today to pickup take out lunch at the Hibachi place. There are help wanted signs everywhere; retail stores, pizza places, the Hibachi place, everywhere... nearly every single store. BTW - North Carolina opened retail stores on Friday. They had large crowds yesterday. What’s this nonsense about no jobs being available.
I am thinking that giving the unemployed in lower income jobs an extra 600 bucks per week so they make more sitting home than in a job... drives them not to want to return to work.
Ya think? Why would they? For many of these people it's a financial bonanza. And knowing many of these types they will not at all be thrilled going back to their dead end jobs. Lots of bad attitudes will result. Another of the unintended consequences. We have millions for whom this is a economic body blow and millions of others for whom it's resulted in more money than they've ever made or hope to make. Leads me to think we will end up with a very unhappy workforce as a result. Add in the thousands of small business types who will see the lifes work and incomes wiped out and it's pretty easy to see a considerable amount of social unrest coming.
Kind of how bailing out industries who keep taking risks that could bankrupt them will continue to do so knowing the tax payer will eventually pick up the tab?
I cant remember which Governor it was but during one of his press briefings a business owner told him she was having trouble getting back her employees and hiring new ones because they told her they made more on unemployment and they asked The Governor what should they do.The Governor told her pay more then unemployment. Im have to look up his name becaue he is definitely someone I would donate and vote for in the future.I think it was The Kentucky Governor.
By now the McDonald’s uniform you’ve worn for the past few years needs a good cleaning before your next shift.
