I am downloading ascii end of day data from eod. data as standard csv... When I open the file there are 6 columns..... symbol..date...open...high...close...and vol....In tradestation I keep getting the error message that says (you are viewing the top of the data file,,make sure the order you have chosen is the same as the file)..The problem is that tradestation only gives the option of opening files with 5 columns..When I download from yahoo stocks, i get 5 column csv files and they work..Has anybody been through this with ts. 2000i? why the different data, and can it be changed to work? I have yet to be able to get forex data into tradestation 2000i..anybody got any ideas? if I have left anything out here let me know...
You should first export some data from an existing TS2000 file to excel. Then use that format to import data back in TS2000. Use the correct date format!!! If not you get in trouble. In past when I traded with TS2000, I used to download forex data for TS2000 in XPO format directly from internet. But I see that the site has changed, so not sure if you still can get this data for free. https://www.forexite.com/default_en.html
