Hello, dear members of www.elitetrader.com! My name is Artem, and I would like to reach out to you with a request for help. I am a Belarusian trader who has been living in Poland for several years and holds a residence permit in this country. However, I still have a Belarusian passport, which creates certain difficulties when searching for a proprietary trading firm. Due to the sanctions imposed against Belarus, many companies are refusing to provide me with capital for trading. I am deeply passionate about trading American stocks and am eager to develop my skills. That's why I'm turning to you, the esteemed community. Perhaps some of you know of companies or have connections that could help me find a proprietary trading firm willing to collaborate with a Belarusian trader living in Europe? Any advice, recommendations, or contacts would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share my trading knowledge and experience. My goal is to continue growing as a trader and contribute to this exciting field. Thank you for your attention, and I hope for your support and guidance!
If you have Polish residence permit, then you have Polish national id card. Passport is for international travel purposes only. Nobody asks for it other than border agents.
You're not quite right. Brokers ask me about my citizenship, citizenship is confirmed by my passport, and my passport is Belarusian, and there are sanctions for citizens of Belarus...(( And no one is interested in my Polish residence permit unfortunately...).
They ask both country of residence and country of citizenship, and moreover, if you are Belarusian, there is an additional window asking why you have this citizenship! I have tried to register in IB several times already, both with a temporary residence permit and with a permanent residence permit.
Unfortunately the file fails to get uploaded. That's what they ask for: For each account holder, you will need: Personal and contact information. Income and tax residency information. Information on trading experience and objectives. Bank account information. At what point do they ask for citizenship and for passport? A person who does not travel does not have to own a passport.
At the beginning of filling out the application, in the section "About you" there is a paragraph "my citizenship is different from: Poland" and "Poland is not the country of my birth". I don't understand, you don't believe me))))?
