Australian asset manager Altair Asset Management made the extraordinary decision to liquidate its Australian shares funds and return "hundreds of millions" of dollars to its clients according to the Sydney Morning Herald, citing an impending property market "calamity" and the "overvalued and dangerous time in this cycle". Full article is here http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-...eds-millions-clients-citing-imminent-calamity What do you think about Altair's Asset Management decision?
%% I think he knows that market better than I do; in USa, 80% mortgage would not be a bubble@ all, by itself.LOL. It is late in the cycle; sold some stuff myself..... I wonder what the real reason is; most businessmen/women tell you the reasons that sounds good + then then is the real reason??Of course since he has seen a lot of fraud , he noted, better sell early than late. He has some good points...............................
%% LOL-LOL; good points. Actually he is much closer to the US battle ships near Korea but my trading plan does not permit me simply to exit simply because of that, especially since war tends to be bullish, anything can happen on 3 minute charts. BUT an Aussie 10 year S+P ASX200, chart; they have not recovered from 2008, so that could make an Englishman/bear shout LOL. I am assuming he is smart enough nor to get terrorfied on High PE ratios.LOL I like planned selling, not panic selling, did sell some.Interesting he dislikes 80% mortgages, USa had more mortgage fraud in last downturn,2.He seems smarter than average, wonder what his 10 year record is??
If they're so convinced that there's an "imminent calamity", why not attempt to position for it and make money, instead of returning money to investors?
once people realized Trump can't do much to turn things around, then this 8 years old bull will crumple. As you can see, fundamentally, data show US econ is not running at all 8 cylinders, catalysts are fading too.
once people realized Trump can't do much to turn things around, then this 8 years old bull will crumple Historically the 1 year mark for a new president is when bull markets have reversed into bears - only time will tell...
%% That may explain the ''crazy ......calamity, calamity call'' .LOL . But since He also cited unpredictable US........maybe that maybe means we can not predict much LOL.I did not predict it but nice to see the Paris climate change scam exit.
%% That maybe right, Comagnum; not that the stock market depends on one person, especially with over 300 million in US. This bull market [SPY/benchmark, QQQ]is so ''mature'' its a wonder..... EWA[Aussie etf] + KORU [KoreaX3]have had some good uptrends/downtrends.Not a prediction but most likely, US armed forces are going to have to ''take out the trash, North Korea.'' Not to take out the trash, like Hitler, would be a ''calamity '' for sure. Some may buy when blood is in the streets KORU has done much better than SPXL, UPRO, year to date+ past 12 months.NOT a prediction
