Reports are coming out that the woman featured on the HealthCare.gov website demanded that her photo be removed from the website. At any rate as of today her photo is no longer featured on the website. Goodbye, HealthCare.gov lady. We barely knew you. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...odbye-healthcare-gov-lady-we-barely-knew-you/
The celebrity endorsers jumped ship a few weeks back. It's a career ding to be tied to this incompetence.
The lady in the photo works for one of the modelling agencies that sells 'stock photos' to website developers and advertisers. This is different than the 'wholesale' stock photo companies with tons of pictures for sale on the web. The modelling agencies typically sell their photos to only one customer and the prices are significantly higher than the 'stock photos' found on the web. The rollout of HealthCare.gov has gone so poorly that the model does not want her image associated with the website. I find it hard to blame her even though she is probably having to pay her commission back.
