Unfortunately a lot of lottery winners end up broke because they don't know how to invest their winnings wisely and just go on spending sprees.

Right, but $19 million is a very huge amount

  5. Let that be a lesson to all aspiring traders...

It generally applies to any ordinary person who suddenly finds him or herself with a very large sum of money, unfortunately.

The harder you sweat for it the harder you protect it. It took a shit load of sweat equity to get to my position in life, no way am I going to squander it via stupidity.

Think about it, why don't drug dealers quit when they are ahead. IF you made 40 million why not just disappear and retire. set up a bond ladder and live comfortably. Stupid people cant hold on to money so they have to keep working for that cash flow in order to service the debt load and survive day to day life.

In all honesty, most people are stupid when it comes to finances, This is why most of the wealth is in the top 15%.

Public schools really need to cut some of the bullshit and teach people basic finances and how to make smart decisions. You see kids getting out of highschool taking on 100K loans to go to an out of state school for a degree in underwater basketweaving and spend the 6 years fucking around to get that shit degree with a 2.8 GPA and then wonder why they can only get a job cleaning shit stained toilets at the local McDonalds alongside ex-felons and other miscellaneous characters while they watch that 100K loan turn to 600K over the years and no way out.

I think those criminals are just greedy.

And I agree about educating children in school about how to handle their finances. There would be a lot less poor financial decisions if schools did that.
