He sells potato peelers and became a millionaire

After watching that I decided to see what the mark up is on potato peelers. Turns out if you buy them in quantities of 1,000, you can pick them up for 10 cents each.

Quite a mark up as he is selling them for $5 each.

 

Obviously Joe Ades was in a league of his own but these street peddlers are dime a dozen on Oxford Street, London.

 

That and there will always be a market for them.
