After 10 years, James Howells has ended his search for a hard drive he tossed in 2013 with 8,000 Bitcoin, now worth $950 million and possibly $8 billion by 2030. If you were his family member, what will be your advice for him?

    Haaaaa...

I forgot bitcoin will never go down when predicting future price targets.

    I haven't seen one price target where bitcoin in 1, 2, 5, 10, 17, 19, 23, 25, 28, 33, yrs is going to be down.

  3. Curious let’s say a friend had 100,000 bitcoin from 2012. What are the steps to sell it and get the cash deposited into a chase savings account?

He could buy Doge today for 20 cents, possibly 20 bucks by 2030.

Or just bite a bullet, apparently shrinks don't help him.

They should contact large holders like Saylor or Blackrock and sell it to them directly.

  6. That is the confusing part. how do you sell directly to them? can you just not do a limit order and sell the position like SPY etc?

I would venture you have to open some kind of account with some exchange and then somehow enter the key etc into the interface and then just sell and the money is quickly deposited to the chase savings account?

Sure you can but if price starts to drop, you may not sell all the coins. Then you can start to chase the price downward, causing more drop. Also brokers want to know you, Blackrock probably not so much.

For a large buy/sell it makes sense to make it off market, privately. You both agree on the price (that could be higher or lower than the current price) and it is done. Both parties are happy because they didn't effect the market price.

  9. Find God and Simplicity, Peace, minimalism. Money can be overrated. Just look at most lottery winners and some celebrities who end up living miserable, weird, empty, evil lives.

If you really believe that, WTF are you even doing here on a traders forum?
