  1. Just for fun, have you ever been arrested? For what?

Ah, I thought this was going to be about people telling stories on how they were busted cheating on a spouse/significant other, or caught masturbating or something.

That would be a hell of a lot more fun to hear stories on :)

  3. GTA, went to San Diego County jail for awhile.. been in LA County and Van Nuys City jails... circa 1965. Only recently was I enable to process all that jail experience, I read some books on personality types and psychopathy.

I never had any problems with the queers [that are really bisexual psychopaths] or much problems with anybody, it's all just one very boring existence. I had a sort of a spiritual experience one day. A voice was talking to me saying "you don't belong here". I've never seen the inside of a jail since.

  4. Lucky for me, no arrests but have had some runins with cops.

  5. I was arrested and thrown into jail when I was 6 years old for running away
    from home.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DUI 1997. Spent that night in the drunk tank and later 48 hours in a county jail.
During booking the guy asked if this was a fluke or something I did all the time.
I told him I'd been drinking and driving since 1979. He asked how I managed to go so ling without getting busted. I mumbled "just lucky I guess"
He got a chuckle out of it.

I had heard from other drinking buddies that the jail where everyone served their time for DUI was crowded on the weekends. Since that's when those with jobs chose to go. So being the genius I am I scheduled my time during the week.
After I get strip searched deloused and showered I come to find out two things.

    1) They only allow plain white underwear in this jail. And naturally that's not what I had worn that day.

    2) The DUI's only building was only used only on weekends. So I went straight to the general population of career criminals and losers.

My bunk was out of view of the dorm room TV so I laid in bed and read my magazines all day. Late that afternoon in the central yard an inmate from another dorm came up and asked what I was in for. I told him.
He replied that there was a rumor going around I was an undercover cop. Then promptly walked away.
(Apparently they do that from time to time) Admittedly I didn't sleep too well that night.
The next day I made a point of mingling with the other prisoners, so they'd know I wasn't spying on them. I did hear a couple of good stories from the regulars.

For example there was one guy who was doing I think it was six months for his umpteenth DUI. He said when he got out he was going to do the same thing he did last time. Buy a junk car and continue drinking and driving without a license until he was caught - again. He didn't give a shit.

I look back on it now as a character building experience.
If you haven't been in jail at least once, you just haven't lived. :)

I can't imagine what you were like before you went to jail. Character
    building lol.

  8. Yes I have, more than once. Assault and Battery. Public Intox. Resisting arrest. Failure to appear warrants. Yes, I got to have my own little cell after some disagreement with the TurnKeys at Orange County Jail, Santa Ana, Ca. I was not a model prisoner, or a model for anything other than how to be a fuck up.
All that ended in 1985 when I quit drinking and drugging. I suppose there was a correlation. :p Now I'm peaceful as a kitten.

  9. lol tell us more, tsing.

  10. Yeah, heaven forbid a habitual DUIer would get placed in the GP. Man, what a raw deal.
