Thursday is a HSI holiday (just in case you'd forgotten). Thursday is also the day before the last business day of the month. Thus on Thursday morning we'd expect higher volume in the June Contract and roll to M9. I'm guessing this means that we'll roll over a day early so just a warning for anyone trading HSI, MHI, HHI etc. Any variant opinions welcome. http://www.hkex.com.hk/tradinfo/tradcal/caln09.htm
A double thank you for this. I noticed EWH was up 5% overnight, recalled that HSI options expire today and the exchange closed tomorrow, so I loaded up on near-the-money calls at the open today. Might not have occurred to me if you hadn't mentioned ... Might just hold these into expiration and call it a week.
