Heya Peeps, Do you know of a trading UI that supports basket trading? In other words, allows me to create a list of trades, and submit them as a group? Can BB do this? Thx, Keith :^)
IB does. A bit clunky though. You can save a basket as a CVS file and edit it, then reload it. When doing a lot of them, I run two excel sheets. One calculates the number of shares rounded to the nearest 10 or 50 (to help with odd lots) based on the proportional amount that stock represents in the total basket amount ($). The other is the actual basket that I load with the amounts for those symbols. Interesting to play with when you do sector select stuff, trade as a basket on momentum or reversing. On the other hand, if you have a larger portfolio, and want to load it all up into a basket, you can sell-buy portions VERY quickly. Market orders work the cleanest, limit orders are slower to execute and often leave some orders immediately unfilled. Lastly, I think it is more for arbitrage against an index. For instance the FANG against the NQ. I never did it though. Also you can play with this: http://www.cyberxpert.com/downloads.html It is an excel adapter for IB. VERY OLD but should still work
