I saw this on slashdot and thought y'all would be interested. It isn't just the US gubment that's doing the bailing out. The DRAM industry is as important to some countries as the auto industry is to ours. No one's buyin' shit, therefore no one's buyin' new computers. Bailouts of this kind will only maintain oversupply. The DRAM market has had terrible fundamentals for some years now. The only way outlook for that market can change is to have the DRAM industry reach its LD-50, the point at which the highest cost producers are forced to liquidate.
