And everyone is so damn scared there going to die, they haven't realised the real issues there trying to save themselves from nothing is causing :(

Why I HATE PC's, we'll do X to help this, then we'll ignore all the damage X is doing despite it being hugely negative :(

There's one problem with your idea of "everyone over-reacting by being too proactive", and anyone with a scientific mind has to accept the reality that...

It is impossible to know what impact all the social distancing really had on the spread. We can only infer it from the last super-virulent outbreak of 1918 Spanish flu. And things were different then. Such as people are generally healthier now because of our immune systems having been building up strength over the ensuing 100 years of natural exposure and immune response to a host of germs, along with more access to food?

The only true way to know if our panicky reaction to this outbreak had an appreciable effect on keeping down numbers is to observe a universe parallel to this one.

Ours is the one we have. The parallel one is where everything is the same, but we simply ignored the restrictions. Since we cannot have that comparison, we are left to speculate about the efficacy of all this lock-down stuff. *shrugs*

  5. Cant we use sweden as comparison?

  6. This made me think of that old tv show Sliders... that show should still be on the air!
