I was looking to short GME at IBKR. On 2/24, IB had 2million shares available for shorting. It had 0 yesterday. Can someone tell me why shares available to short could become 0? Is it because all those 2 million shares have been shorted by someone already? Or did those people (GME share holders) sell them already so there were no shares available to short at IBKR?
I think either reason Goog. But I just looked at IB SLR rates for GME, and it informed me there are currently 530k shares available to short. Come join the war!!!
Too low of a price for me to short. All it takes is some guy to tweet an image of bitcoin and this can cross $200 again. That would be a great entry to short for me.
