I am FURIOUS right now !!! I stopped at Whole Foods yesterday afternoon to pick up some stuff to make for dinner later. So, I'm waiting in the self checkout line and I dropped two $20 bills. The lady in front of me picked them up. I thanked her and told her that the bills were mine and she said, "The things found on earth are kept by the collector," and WALKS AWAY!!!!!!! I looked at the person behind me standing in line, who looked just as shocked as me!!!!! I said, "Woah, Do I look like an ATM? Give me back my $40!" She had the nerve to walk away. I quickly followed this lady into the parking lot. She was clearly walking at a fast pace to get away from me. When she got to her car she put the bags on the ground to open the trunk. I was PISSED!!!! And BAM! I decided that her "finders keepers" rule just presented the perfect opportunity for revenge, so I grabbed her grocery bags, smirked, and then said "The things found on earth are kept by the collector!" and ran to my car and got in. That lady started yelling!!! I was so mad but was in too DEEP now and drove off. I was nervous and mad but had a sense of satisfaction all at the same time. I can't say I've ever done anything like that in my life!! But check this out.... So I get down the street and open the bags and what did I find? 10 pounds of shrimp 7 rib eye steaks 7 porterhouse steaks And 3 cans of coffee WOW! Not bad for $40 dollars! TALK ABOUT A COME UP!
Wow, that woman was such a shithead for taking your money. She got what she deserved for sure. Two of those porterhouses were probably $40 just by themselves, so you made out like a bandit. I go to Whole Foods quite a bit but I usually just make a plate from their hot bar for lunch. I sit in their cafe and eat my lunch while I marvel at the wild array of characters that are pushing around grocery carts. For whatever reason, our Whole Foods is like a magnet for "unique" people. Very entertaining.
Still "unique" after Amazon link-up? Prices at Whole Foods came down didn't they? Less for "snobby shoppers" to feel righteous about now?? Funny, our WalMarts attract "unique" people.
I've only seen price drops on a few items. So for example, a whole rotisserie chicken was always $13.99 but now it's $9.99.
It appears to be one of the few places where having a blue mohawk is not a negative at the job interview.
