I have been studying and following the markets for years. I have also read many books on trading. I am ready to get started trading. Can you recommend an online company that can help me learn TA and help me get some trades under my belt? Thanks in advance.
Ya, sounds like some contradictions in your very 1st post on ET. Also studying and following for years without so much as posting on ET previously? All sounding sus to me. Sure you aren't a troll trying a new alias?
TA doesn't work unless you're selling courses ofcourse, avoid TA. Look for some kinda momentum and range combo, understanding both are key and tricky.
If you want to practice on your own time I would suggest you try Tradovate’s On-Demand Market Replay. Unlike other replay software that requires lengthy downloads, with Tradovate you pick a date you want to replay and go. In addition, you are not replaying just one market you can replay your entire workspace with all the markets you watch tick-by-tick including market internals. You can also pick any size account balance and trade in replay simulation. Lastly, every tick is included even all the updates to the depth of market ladder. This is key if you are trying to do volume analysis or using tools like Jigsaw, OFA, or Bookmap. Here is the link to a free demo.
There are hundreds of vendors who will teach you technical analysis.Just pay them a few thousand dollars and you will make millions or buy the book by Magee.
My advice: buy a video game; hell, get two. Also, start a lawn mowing business or buy into a local business. You will be better off. Most stocks are trading at 30-40 times earnings. A brick and mortar business goes for around 5 times earnings. Also the management at the brick and mortar business will be less likely to embezzle money, and if they do... you know where they live. Also you are competing with guys that have PhDs in math, statistics, software engineering and IQs so high most people need a telescope to see them; not just one or two but thousands of them. Unless you have an Uncle thats getting ready to retire and wants you to take over his fortune... Hold on a minute... A minute more ... ok, I'm done laughing now ...Its really not the best use of your time.
Start your own trading education company/website. -- You will make money regardless of skill or market direction You're more likely to make a million selling stuff to the masses...rather then relying on your own trading skill, whatever that may even be.
Jseamless...If this is a genuine 1st. post which I do not see why it could not be....well there is a lot of wisdom in here and I suggest you read these posts carefully. (the threads intent will be quite obvious soon if there is a reply from a company trying to get free advertising). Assuming this is a real thread...If you still feel inside that you want to tackle this thing... go for it. Try to get away from TA and see if you can grasp price action trading. TA is simply a way for you to scan charts quickly to select them for price action trading. Please Jseamless do not make a fool of me as I am taking this thread at face value. ElectricSavant™
