I am considering opening an account with IB, again. It's been a while. If I'm running the gateway with a front end like Ninja, can I log into the same account the gateway is logged into with IBKR Mobile and not have an issue with the gateway being dropped? Or do I need a second account, pay an additional fee, etc.? This kind of thing is an issue for me with TS. If the desktop is running, and I log in to the mobile app, it boots the desktop off. TDA allows for API and app access. I am curious about IB.

Yes but one of the sessions will stop. IIRC 1 acct user can be logged in at any given time. Under my personal account I have 2 users. I use 1 from my mobile and the other for the trading system. Please note data subscription won't be shared across the 2 (in fact I accept lagged records on the acct I use on my mobile device)
