Based on https://ibkb.interactivebrokers.com/node/188/ I think it is possible to trade futures in an IRA account at Interactive Brokers with 3x margin requirements. Does anyone do this?

What is a good broker to use for futures trading in an IRA? I did see the thread "Problems trading futures in IRA accounts at IB?" from 2015.

If there were a huge adverse move against you in an IRA futures account that caused the account balance to go negative, would you be required to make up the deficit from non-IRA funds? Would you be allowed to?

We can provide exchange traded margins for IRA accounts. We work with 4 different custodians and multiple FCM based on your trading needs.

We can offer SPAN margin at Wedbush Futures if you use a company like Midland IRA. I have my Roth set up that way. https://www.midlandira.com/

Call me tomorrow if you want to discuss.
