For any of you that are in the Chicago area, the FIA, futures and options conference is going on today and tomorrow at the Hilton on Michigan Av. Really interesting, just came from it. Lots of different trading systems, computers, brokers, etc., etc., etc. Well worth going, no matter what level of a trader you are.
I had a limited amount of time today, will be going back tomorrow, so wasn't rally able to explore too much. I really liked Blue Trading Systems, an option trading system. More than I need currently. Also spent some time talking to WEX and TD Ameritrade, both of which I currently use. Also Option City's system is great, although the are geared a bit more to market making. Here is a list of all the exhibitors, https://secure.fia.org/expo/exhibitor-profiles-2016.asp
The focus for this conference is more on the sell-side (brokers, FCM's) than the buy-side (traders, investors), but sometimes they have a few interesting presentations for traders.
You should make a YouTube video or more detailed report of it complete with photos I'm kind of always interested in those conferences and expos. -- but never That interested enough to attend, even if it was in my same city.
