Is there a difference between Freestockcharts & TC2000?

    Which one is better?

That is a relative question, like what is better a peach or apple. You have to use both to know what is better for YOU. More experience you have, you can trade from smaller and smaller charts. This is best time for you to explore on your own.

Does anyone know the major differences between GOLD & Platinum for TC2000 VR 16?

On the purchase screen it only mentions auto-refresh scan and sorting and trendline alerts but I doubt it's only that for such a huge difference in price.

Gold will give you free data from the BATS exchange. Platinum allows for real time quotes and real time scanning.

As far as a nice charting package I didn't mind it when I used it. It's pretty simple and ridiculously easy to use. I've hit freestockcharts before when not on my own computer and it looks identical but it's a bit clunky to me. I think it's paid version is the same cost as GOLD so I would get Gold.

Another nice feature is when I did have TC2000 was I could export TC2000 v7(EOD data only) to Amibroker via their plug in. I'm sure you could even export it to excel somehow easy enough.

It's a very simple software and very customizable as far as the layouts, charts, and especially the ease of using watchlists.

I just moved on to Amibroker myself because for real time its cheaper then tc2000. 99$ I think for platinum and I'm paying a little less for IQFeed data and Amibroker only has a one time fee for a licence.

But if your looking for a EOD charting package and nothing fancy, I'd give TC2000 gold a shot. At 29.99 I don't think its horribly priced and they usually sell it buy 10 months get 2 free, can cancel at any time(just don't get those 2 months free). The platinum is a bit over priced to me.

Need real time quotes and scanning. I can simply use FINVIZ free version if I just wanted delayed scans or to look at daily charts.

But thanks, I think I'll try the platinum version and just see how it goes!

I'd recommend TC2000 Platinum which is what I had....
