Hello, I recently down loaded Ninja Trader 7 demo with the intent of learning to properly develop, program, back test, analyze strategy performance, use market replay to compare back test accuracy, and set strategy on auto for sim trading before live trading. I have a few questions for you please: 1. Can I run an automated strategy with Ninja Trader market replay in demo? 2. How many days of market replay data does Ninja Trader allow? 3. Can I buy tick data and use Strategy Analyzer if using the Ninja Trader demo? Thanks,
Hello, We're glad to read about your interest in the NinjaTrader platform! If you have not done so already, we highly recommend you also try out our latest product, NinjaTrader 8. It includes enhancements for strategy development, backtesting, and optimization. Also, NinjaTrader 8's Playback functionality allows you to use either Market Replay data or historical market data to play back historical price data. To answer all your questions: Yes, you can run an automated strategy while connected to the Market Replay connection. NinjaTrader will allow you to use as many days of Market Replay data as you have available. If you're downloading Market Replay data from NinjaTrader, the range of data per instrument will be limited to what's available on the servers. Further information can be requested from platformsupport@ninjatrader.com If you are using a data demo provided by NinjaTrader, you should already be receiving historical tick data. However, it is also possible to import historical data into NinjaTrader for use.
