It seems a top scientist in the field of Alzheimer research committed fraud by manipulating study results... It further seems that even the FDA is involved in corruption in Alzheimer related issues. The FDA is the government office that approves (or denies) the sale of new medical drugs in the US, which of course then results in the fate of the biotech/pharma company seeking approval for its product, and of course of its stock price... That, or the FDA was mislead into believing the data was solid, confirming what most experts at the time believed was correct (group think). The FDA reviews what it's given and they too can be fooled. No grand conspiracy necessary.
