Fox is refusing Dominion's demand that Fox run a chyron outlining the settlement on every broadcast... for two years. Rumored $1.35B.
The judge stated this afternoon that the trial would proceed tomorrow. I don't see any late evening resolution leading to a settlement. On the laughable front we have... Fox News takes out full-page ad boasting it's 'trusted more than ever' ahead of defamation trial https://www.rawstory.com/fox-news-dominion-lawsuit-2659866069/
That is a ridiculous demand. No single story gets scrolled on a Chyron for two whole years. Ever. Is Dominion taking this lawsuit seriously? They are going to lose with stupid stuff like this. With the amount they are asking for, they should feel lucky this case is even going to court.
Most experts say this is a very solid case, obviously it is if Fox is offering to settle for 1.35 billion.A jury can award punitive damages greater than what Dominion is suing for, that jury is not only from a blue state, but Bidens hometown state.
If I was a juror in that case, I would hands-down vote no on Dominion. Making Fox news scroll some court decision on their screen for two years straight would drive the world batty. It is just not healthy. CNN learned that about a year ago. Remember when CNN went off the rails with something like that?...
Fox runs the risk of a jury awarding Dominion billions of dollars more than they are suing for too.Considering how many people hate Fox thats a real risk. If I were a juror thats what I would vote for.
