Finally they have made it! They adopted the pretty much unfilmable Asimov classic and they did a good job. They had to add new characters and storylines but I am fine with those changes. (Asimov had very few female characters anyway) The design is excellent, the triple Emperor idea is a nice touch. The show runners plan on 8 seasons, we shall see how it goes and if Apple greenlights it all. The second season is already confirmed. I'm fine with many changes, visuals are a cut above though I think they could have done a little more on the immensity of Trantor, those not having read the books would struggle to understand the "heatsink" levels etc. The sky bridge seems to have taken their attention. It's going to confuse due to the long time span. Possibly how fast and slow ships differ needed explaining better but they avoided a voice over. Enjoying it for what it is. I'll be firing up the projector for Dune tonight.
