Educated Thais only. They would assist greatly in building a new stock market in San Antonio (Texas residents/corporations only, at first). This would include a futures exchange in El Paso, for stock indices, gold, etc. Plus an agricultural commodities exchange in Amarillo. As the world is 24/7 these days, and Thailand is nearly precisely on the other side of the earth from Texas, 24 hour trading with sufficient liquidity would be possible.
What would be the best city for bond trading? Municipals, CDOs, etc. Second question: pit vs. electronic?
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...-refugees-stuck-tiny-pacific-island/77647010/ On a side note, we are all praying and pleading for assistance (money) for the poor unfortunates who have escaped brutal conditions as refugees and landed on Guam. They are looking for immigration into Guam. Some of these refugees came from the horrible conditions of the mango/coconut rain forests of South India. Others escaped Buddhists temples and forced meditation/yoga in Nepal. They are now held up in a brutal situation on the beach in Guam, forced to surf fish and snorkel each day. Some can even be seen on jet skis. They are forced to tolerate grilled mahi and tuna each night and must drink mostly cold beer for lack of clean water. Its a terrible story but especially on Christmas and we ask for donations for these poor refugees (please send cash, suntan lotion and battery chargers for their iphones and imacs These refugees had first set out on a fishing/sight seeing tour...a three hour tour. Then the weather started getting ruff and their tiny ship was tossed...well, you know the rest. And yes, there is one short small refugee whom seems to always be getting into trouble and another who was a professor at the University of South India
But you have to remember, they lost all their women in the underground temple wars, so perhaps what they need is not money, but sex.
San Antonio is in same timezone as Chicago. How about going one timezone east of there so if we wanted to live in Texas but get up an hour later we could do that? I left California because I couldn't get up at 6:30am but I miss Santa Barbara terribly of course, who wouldn't? I hired people to get up early and work my strategy but the strategy sucked and they lost money for me. They felt bad about it I suppose so there's that
You could trade futures on the El Paso market. They are Mountain Standard Time. Indexes, gold... International overnight trading might be an option. Bangkok, Singapore, and Hong Kong are about 12 hours from San Antonio (depending on daylight savings time, of course) and with sister relations to the Texas markets, it might work. With new markets, trading could be limited on leverage (especially options). I am very tired of the dog wagging the tail. Or is it the tail wagging the dog?
