I am asking the professional SP500 futures traders, who trade discretionary and mostly do daytrading (because of less margin required) AND ARE CONSISTENT PROFITABLE ACTUALLY FOR AT LEAST THE LAST 6 MONTHS. What kind of underlying strategy or concept you use ? How would you describe your entries and/or exits ? If you are consistent looser daytrading ES Futures then you can also tell what you tried on the strategies to be profitable or give insights what leads to your losses. So this can be taken as kind of warning what better not to do.
same guy who asked if the market would drop 25% if trump was elected? Will Trump cause a bear market (if he wins) ?
I am not asking for "secrets". I am asking for basic concepts behind, not revealing too much of course.
In all seriousness, it will be pretty unlikely for anyone that is doing well to come to this thread and post anything useful. Some others have tried the same question, and on this thread there are a couple of names that you might want to follow. That show that is mentioned in one of the comments looks good. I'll listen to it, let's see if I am able to learn something. https://futures.anthonycrudele.com/
I am trading Spot Forex the last couple of years. I have no trading experience in ES Futures trading in the past 5 years. I traded some futures with success 20 years ago. Now the markets are different. Also my advice you mentioned was generally and not specific on a certain strategy or concept I am asking here now.
Trade those intra day V patterns. Those intraday Vs have been happening for decades. ES and the other SIFs are all rigged to the upside even intra day. (Disclaimer: Trying to catch a falling knife can be hazardous to your wealth . Always use a stop loss )
As soon as you said the word "margin" with day trading, my ears (and I believe others too) shot up... I was looking for a few minutes but couldn't find anything on the net. Was looking for a good study on how many profitable Forex (margin) day traders are out there. Someone post if you can grab something (quick) off the net...I'd like to see.
