For Dr. Ben Carson, It's Time for Government 101

Dr. Ben Carson, who resigned from Fox News as a first step towards running for U.S. president, has been no stranger to controversial statements, seems to have gone a bit overboard, in likening the United States to Nazi Germany.

According to Inquisitr, "Carson has said that the United States 'is very much like Nazi Germany,' adding, 'I know you're not supposed to say Nazi Germany, but I don't care about political correctness.'"

    How about just plain-old correctness?

If we're Nazis, then Dr. Carson would have been arrested long ago for being a dissident. His words would have been considered treasonous in a totalitarian state. He might have been executed for them.

Instead, he gets a primetime broadcasting slot. He gets to raise lots of money, run for president, and even win. As we say in this country, "Ain't that America."

In fact, he's not alone. Across America, millions turned out to express their political views. The president's party lost the U.S. Senate (they lost the U.S. House of Representatives four years ago). Just the fact that we have multiple parties (the GOP largely won by copying Libertarian ideas) already makes this country different from Nazi Germany, which had a one-party state.

So how does Carson liken this country to a state that murdered a great number of its people? Again, Inquisitr provides Carson's answer.

As the basis for his comparison between the United States and the fascist state of Nazi Germany, in which Jews and other minority groups were persecuted, imprisoned and murdered by the millions, Carson cites his view that, "We now live in a society where people are afraid to say what they actually believe."

I've listened to Dr. Carson's radio broadcasts. He says pretty much anything he wants. He said that Obamacare was worse than 9/11, or other similar controversial things, so folks will pay attention to him. Dr. Carson and I, like thousands of other armchair politicians, are pundits that can do that. This is thanks to the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform, who gave it their all so that other countries, like Nazi Germany, couldn't control us. They still serve to protect us from threats abroad.

Throughout our history, we've had Founding Fathers, members of the opposition party, civil rights leaders, protesters, reporters, progressive Captains of Industry, and yes, even immigrants from lands afar who fought for the freedoms you and I and Dr. Carson currently enjoy.

I know Dr. Carson's wife has said that they plan to move to Australia if the Democrats prevail in 2016. The two of them are free to do that as well. But as for me, I plan to stay in this great country no matter whether Democrats, Republicans, or Libertarians win.

Ben Carson is full of more shit than a jumbo-sized pigsty. It will be fun watching him get vivisected in the primaries.

  5. Ben Carson’s History Book Plagiarizes SocialismSucks.Net And Many Other Sources

Several sections of potential Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson’s 2012 book America the Beautiful were plagiarized from various sources, BuzzFeed News has found.

In many cases Carson cites the works that he plagiarizes in endnotes, though he makes no effort to indicate that not just the source, but the words themselves, had been taken from different authors.

The case is similar to a 2013 report from BuzzFeed News that found Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul plagiarized in his book while citing the works he copied in the footnotes. Paul’s book was eventually updated to include attribution.

Here is the full BuzzFeed article.... the whole thing seems to be much ado about nothing. The other authors gave him permission to copy their material (10,000 words or less) and in most instances proper attribution has been provided. It is very hard to make a case that Carson plagiarized material.

Let's go dig through some books by liberal authors now for any missed attributions and call it plagiarism.

  7. Ben Carson Apologizes For Plagiarism, Says He's Working To 'Rectify The Situation'

Dr. Ben Carson apologized Thursday for plagiarizing parts of his book America the Beautiful: Rediscovering What Made This Nation Great and said he's working with his editors to "rectify the situation."

BuzzFeed's Andrew Kaczynski, one of the reporters who broke the plagiarism news, tweeted Carson's statement on Thursday:

On Wednesday, Carson's publisher Zondervan -- a Christian publisher owned by HarperCollins -- said it would review the allegations of plagiarism in Carson's book. Zondervan released another statement on Thursday, saying, "It has become apparent that further source citation is appropriate in Dr. Carson's America the Beautiful."

BuzzFeed reported Tuesday that passages from Carson's book were taken from a number of sources, including SocialismSucks.Net. See BuzzFeed's report here.

Carson has shown interest in a 2016 presidential run. He released a documentary about himself called "A Breath of Fresh Air: A New Prescription for America" the weekend after the midterm elections.

According to HuffPost Pollster, Carson is among the top of the pack of potential 2016 GOP primary candidates, trailing only 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie:
