I went to mayweather Ortiz in 2011. Didn't understand it. It's like formula 1, lots of glamour and flash but you only see it from afar and the sport to a spectator sucks. You are too far and not privy to most of the action.

I can't figure out all the money in boxing. The trademarked phrase "let's get ready to rumble" made that announcer 500mm!

Boxing is inherently flawed. The point system stinks and has sucked for at least 50 years. This fight was won by Mayweather on "points", and I am still trying to count six effective shots he connected on.

While I do not believe Pacquiao won the fight either, it should have been called a draw. In chess, a draw goes to the defending champion. Since boxing is fractured and both were WCs, this fight should not have unified anything.

Pacquiao miscalculated and imo should have risked more. It is easy to say after you see the fight in retrospect, but if they studied MW tape this style of fighting should not have been a surprise. Maybe the P corner thought they could win on points???

Overall, I never expected P to win. But I certainly thought he would give more than he did. It was never a MWs fight to lose, it was a P fight to win.

It's insane that a phrase can be worth half a billion dollars. If anything, I think MMA fights should have bigger money than boxing. Boxing looks boring to me. No way I'd ever shell out $100 for PPV, or even $20 for the cover to watch the fight at Buffalo Wild Wings.

    Boxing isn't a sport.
