Does anyone out there have an intraday chart for 3M (MMM) for Feb 13, 2020? This was the day that my FA moved some money into that stock.

Best I can tell, the high of that day was like 130 per share. But my execution (buy price) was way higher...Something is awry...

MMM was nowhere near that price of $159 on 2/13/2020.

    Can anyone confirm?

FFS Overnight. I was an accredited Financial Planner after completing my Accounting Degree. I can tell you, most of the Regulars on here could/should be handling their own long term Investments. So should you!

The garbage they teach to become a licensed Financial Planner is amazing.

This is the 5 minute chart of MMM on 2/13/2020. The high of the day was at the open, which was 135.34.

So adjusted for the spinoff (listed as a split on yahoo finance), the prices before Apr 1, 2024 should be multiplied by 1196/1000 == 1.196

That makes the actual open, high, low, and close prices on Feb 13, 2020:
    161.759 161.86664 158.99624 159.76168

    159.54 is within that range.

YOU SHOULD BE HANDLING YOUR OWN LONG TERM INVESTMENTS.

If you're not that capable after almost 30 (scratch that).... 7 years of Trading...

  8. Dig that.
I am also a CFP and was even part of the adjunct faculty of the College For Financial Planning.

I've told many people they could get all they need to know about financial planning from a $20 book... EXCEPT for the investing part.

You mention "licensed". Back in my day, no license was required*... only came into being when the revenooers wanted to extract fees for their own greed.

Now to "claim you're a CFP" in dealing with the public, you have to demonstrate/prove that your LICENSE is current... just like my wife's medical license. What a crock of greedy shit!!

    Financial advisors still exist?

  10. Funny you mention. Years ago I was playing tennis with a guy who said he was getting his CFP credential. I mentioned to him that people could get all the knowledge they need from a $20 book, so no need to pay for a financial planner. He said, Yeah, but... they will pay you to tell them that". :)
