Italy-based and Holland-registered Ferrari filed for an IPO in New York yesterday, hoping to raise $10 billion. Are you going to get with the stock right after IPO? Look like a good opportunity.
The shape of the cars are interesting but at the end of the day they are like all the other cars: 1/8 inch steel frame on a steel chassis with an aluminum block engine on 4 rubber wheels. The cars are more artwork than engineering marvels.
Not to raise this thread from the dead.... but I happened to be digging into Ferrari earlier and saw your post lol...thought it was funny. These were $499K new for the base model. This one was about $600K. It only has 2500 miles on it too. By comparison, a $600K purchase of the ipo would be worth about $2.4M now. >>>> Don't feel bad though, we all make mistakes... I liked SNAP at $70... and more recently... Marvel at $54
I want a toyota no coachwork, purpose built for use with snap on coachwork and interior modules designed by the "artwork" pros that put the exotics on the map and sold by vendors on Amazon, Ebay, Joe's custom shop... Fuggin toyota will run just fine for plenty long time with fluids, filters, pads upkeep and when the first thing over 500 bucks goes out, trade it in on a new one and use all the old snap on coachwork and interior modules, get a couple more in the new deal negotiations and rock and roll. Sign me up. Looks like a 308GTS Targa this weekend and a Checker Cab next week for mom, lol.
I should start every post with "don't take advice from me about stocks..." or you should just do the opposite of anything I ever post about equities. Nice to see they've risen 400 - 500% over recent years. You might be able to find a sought after model with very low miles that may have doubled in the same period, but nowhere near the rise in the stock. They still make some beautiful cars, but their F1 team can't find their ass with either hand right now.
You know what company it would have worked for lol... GM. Those mid 60's Corvettes and some of their other muscle cars are going for stupid money.
