    If the fed raises the rates in March, does anyone know exactly when in the month they will make the decision?

    Are we still doing that? I don't mean raising rates, I mean paying attention to it.

    I don't think we are.
    I would've thought that it would be a major big deal by now, with everyone discussing the impact/non-impact on this and that. Myself, I think a raise in rates is a definite -- but I find I am very much in the minority. (And then, it cracks me up when the market does its little flutter action with the vaguest possibility of a hair of a chance of a potential rate increase. "Whoaaaa, Nellie!")

    So, as an option writer, I am *not* writing too close on the bottom, cuz I think things'll plop a percent, anyway, on the day-of. But as you imply, I seem to be alone out here {cue sound of whistling wind} on the dreary plains {more wind sound} of FOMC-hawkish expectations.....{fade wind-sound to silent...}

    This whole rates talk has been nothing but garbage for nearly a decade....the fed is too afraid to raise rates...all talk and zero action....they want to keep the rally intact and not ruin anything for the bulls.....the rates should be around 3-4% but nope....they are sitting behind the curb just waiting and waiting and waiting....how come they surprise the markets with rate cuts after emergency meetings when markets are in collapse mode but never ever ever surprise the markets with rate hikes during huge upside rallies and strong economic figures. ??? Pathetic.

  6. Probably we'll see two rate hikes this year.

    As of today, Atlanta GDPNow forecasts Q1 GDP at 1.8%. Obviously we need moar rate hikes!
