Let's face it, folks. The whole censoring of curse words has had it's time, and it didn't work.

What was the point of it, when it started in the 1950s? To keep from corrupting the "children"?

It did not WORK. We have kids less than 18-YO running around killing folks with guns. So what the fuck will keeping dirty words off the "public airwaves" do anymore? We have seen this social experiment fail.

It was along the lines of..."If kids do not hear cursing on the TV or radio, they will be better people in the end."

    WRONG! It all failed.

Bring us the normal language we all speak every day on the streets, and in our personal lives, to the TV.

Tired of the double-standards. Tired of the hypocrisy. Enough already. For fuck's sake.

Probably true. I swear like a sailor and I probably look like an idiot. In casual settings my sentences are peppered with 'fuck'.

That being said there's some evidence swearing serves a purpose other than to intensify sentences. Apparently it also makes you feel good. So fuck it.

Personally, it's the hypocrisy that bothers me. Curse words get censored, but graphic violence is okay to be shown. Weird priorities.
