The FBI has become the Stasi. Never thought I would see it but here we are. It needs to be dissolved, all of middle and upper management retired or furloughed and a new entity formed with a constitutional charter preventing them from being used as a political weapon.
Yup. It has been a journey, hasn't it. I did not arrive at criticizing them easily. But over time under Comey and pretty much under Wray they earned every demerit they got. The other ugly thought I have now is not pretty either. Like a lot of former FBI supporters, I held out as long as possible - not wanting to dump on the rank and file- by saying it was just a management- few bad actors- thing. Truth be known though, I don't believe that anymore. It's a pervasive culture where the people at the top either look at and focus on the wrong things or totally look the other way at real crime- whatever they want. And the field offices do it as well. The FBI is mushed together will wider DOJ enforcement efforts too. That does not help. The DOJ itself is corrupt. Hard core types like Hannity still toe the line and say that 99.9% of the FBI are still good solid people and serving their country. Many are and it is nice patriotic thing to say, but otherwise, I actually have no way of knowing that and do not give them the benefit of the doubt anymore. As I said, not pretty.
