These days, I am dozing off looking at my positions. I run manual trading systems and I need to be awake. But most times there is nothing much to do and I am dozing off as it gets boring. But I need to be attentive to enter and exit my positions. Tried playing online chess, scrabble, Sudoku, Wordle etc. Even they get boring beyond a point. And chess is likely to distract from my trading activity. I step aside from my desk and wash my face to keep myself awake. Any suggestions?
Lately, those who day trade during the Asian session should be happy, and those who day trade during the European and the US sessions might be weeping and gnashing their teeth in despair, or dozing at the trading desk. Trade during the hot session. If the session has been known to be dead, day trade for 1 to 2 hours and then stop trading. Then go and doze off on the bed. When President Trump is back next month, such a dead session should be uncommon.
Get more overnight sleep. Set-up alarms. Or max out your margin, that should keep you awake (do not try this at home, for real)
that happened to me as well, the closing time for markets is around 23:00 here. In winter is not easy to stay awake until that time. I automated most of the tasks because of that, so maybe look for a developer to help you with what you are trying to do.
how about you do something useful and learn how to code when the market is slow? Then you could automate and walk away to do other things with your free time
Get a good night of sleep every night. If you already do, then you need to find out if you have sleep apnea. Drinking coffee will also help and so does chewing gums.
