Execute across multiple platforms with 1 key stroke - Any Ideas

  1. Thank you in advance for your help and experience.

I have a system that is grey box, executing manually across multiple platforms, simultaneously. I can program the F-keys to execute the market order entries, but I need a way to hit the buy key on each platform at the same time...

Something or some way that when I hit a key or combo of keys would:

Send a Cntl Alt F to Program 1 (which within program 1 is already set up to send a buy order) and
Send a Cntl Alt F to Program 2 (which within program 1 is already set up to send a buy order)

Simultaneously. I only need to send the entry order as each platform is already set up as a bracket order so stops and targets are automatically entered upon fill. Any ideas would be most helpful.

  3. Tx a lot. I have to test if AHK can find a window , send keystrokes then find another window and send another set up key strokes and what the lag will be but it looks like this fits the bill. It's all about the lag now. Appreciate the help!

  4. Python script can do this, there is also a way to programmatically select the program window you want so you can enter orders on the correct platform.

  5. Isn't Python a language I would need to learn or do you know of a program of the same name? I do not know the Python language. Tx

  6. If you have any programming skills I recommend you take a look at the following device: XKeys (xkeys.com) by PI Engineering. I just had mine delivered a short while ago and have played with it a bit and so far it seems to all do what I need. You can easily program the keys without any programming knowledge but for more advanced functionality you may want to download the SDK and program your own macros. I use it to submit discretionary orders, individual keys to pick a specific asset mapped to such key, and some other keys that toggle order size and other parameters such as limits.... it is even faster than shortcuts because the application that captures the keys does not have to be in focus.

Attached a picture taken of the device and of my work space to get a better idea of its size. As can be seen the keys are not labeled yet and the transparent key caps can also be replaced by colored ones as well as caps that cover two smaller keys to create larger keys.
