Can anyone suggest a source for searching for, and screening or filtering, exchange traded notes? I'd like to study these things and learn more about them (e.g., read the prospectus from the issuer), but I don't know how to find what is currently out there. I am in the US and my account is with Schwab. I also posted this in the "Fixed Income" Forum, because ETNs are debt securities. But I'm not sure many people look at that forum, and my post there seems to have been categorized as "off-topic," either by a moderator or by an algorithm. BMK
Okay, so I found this: https://www.marketwatch.com/tools/markets/exchange-traded-notes And it is an interesting list, but many of the notes do not appear to be traded on US exchanges. And those that are... well, this stuff seems like the wild west. They are unsecured debt securities, backed not by any assets, but only by the issuer, which is often a large commercial bank. And they seem to be based on indexes that are either extremely narrow and specialized (e.g., futures on four different grains), or they are highly leveraged, or inverse, or otherwise rather exotic products... I think you can filter by ETF or ETN here https://marketchameleon.com/Screeners/ETFs I (re)discover this link in my bookmarks.
