I need to get some EXCEL/VBA code written. Can anyone recommend a website were i can find freelance coders. I know I can google it but would rather go on a recommendation.
fiverr or upwork. you are more likely to find a reliable programmer checking the feedback on their site than asking around here.
Maybe you just tell us what your intention or plan with Excel VBA. If it's not too complex, someone here may be able to help.
Yep. I've built plenty of Excel stuff in VBA. I'd be willing to help if it's really simple - or take a fee for more complicated work. Though I (and probably everyone else in this forum) will charge you a premium considerably above what you would pay on upwork/fiverr or any other sweatshop site. At any rate, you will probably want to hire on a freelancer who is familiar with financial programming. Take it from someone who has tried to outsource Excel data work to Fiverr people in the past - you get what you pay for. I have never been satisfied with a Fiverr gig and I've probably thrown around $100 dollars at the site. Not a ton of money, but even the more expensive gigs I paid for (in the realm of $25-$30 for not complicated data monkey work) were screwed up even after multiple revisions. It is very hard to explain requirements to people who barely have a grasp of English and/or are overburdened by projects.
Do you have actual experience with these? I've used a few programmers. Mostly not based in the US/UK. In general, I find that the biggest challenge is to communicate what you actually want and also be understood. Actually, this was a challenge even when working with a UK based guy who basically programs trading applications and thus should have some knowledge. The logic was clear on my end and he said he understood it (he probably thought he did). But he didn't and kept imposing his own interpretations of it with multiple incorrect attempts before we finally landed on the correct logic (the same as initially demanded). In my experience, you typically get what you pay for in this department. If resources aren't unlimited, one usually have to find a happy medium.
I don't have the time to help with codes but I can give you a few books to learn. I think most of us self-read and code, then learn on the way
