  3. For them to give an explanation they will have to admit to believing the aircraft was a threat and shot it down. That is a bit of a game changer as it forces everyone to acknowledge the Iranians will shoot down any aircraft, including a US aircraft, if they believe their airspace is being attacked.

    US officials say two missiles were fired. Iraqi military bases detected and picked up Iran's air defence systems turning on radar and launching the missiles.

    In the video you can see what appears to be the missile (left to right in the video) hitting the plane. After the missile hits the plane continues and appears to be on fire (right to left in the video).

    I would think some of these systems can't rely on slow human reaction to intercept threats?
