I'm thinking of opening a position in QS. They had some good news this weekend https://www.theinformation.com/video/552 and it seems to be the strongest in this sector. Battery storage is the big thing concerning EV's. Thoughts?
ICLN- Clean energy ETF looks interesting at this point. LIT- ETF still has to bottom. Individual stocks: NEE, GNRC, SEDG, ENPH, STEM. ALL positive today. I have small position in QS.....I would spread the risk.
Battery storage is only improving about 6-8% per year. These breakthroughs you read about are in labs and don't easily translate to rechargables on the road. Nickel went through the roof in the last few days, which will make EVs even more expensive. Super high gas may push a few folks into them, but I'm still not sold that the tech is ready for prime time on a large scale just yet. Of course if you are holding that for a few hours, none of the crap I just wrote matters.
Thanks. Just saw a story on the news this mornig, our city is going to go all electric on all city buses and is looking to do the same with school busses. It is the future and I think most battery companies will do well.
I traded QS last year and lost mucho money. It's a pump and dump stock, that will go up 10% and drop just a quickly days later for many months
Not to sound critical but don't you use stop losses? Irregardles, I stuck my little toe in at 13.92. We'll see...
my goodness! QS price dropped from 132 to 14 in just a few months. So obviously QS is not the EV battery storage market leader. it must be a badly managed company. what did they do wrongly? what did they fail to do? I think this video is created by the QS investors and they are gnashing and weeping in despair. https://www.theinformation.com/video/552 next support level : 10 don't expect the price to go up significantly unless there is some very major change like a change of top management / BOD
