European Index Futures ?

Discussion in 'Index Futures' started by syswizard, Mar 1, 2020.

  1. Can someone enumerate the available index futures for the European indices ?
It would be great to get a handle on the name of the exact exchange and the symbol for the contract.

Jesus, this takes like a 5M time with an internet search ... but you had to really open a new thread for this ... by heart these are the biggest.
    Eurostoxx50 on Eurex
    Dax30 on Eurex (German)
    Cac40 on Euronext (French)
FTSE100 on what I think is LIFFE (could be that has changed but not feeling up to doing the research myself) (UK)
on a smaller level theres is also AEX on Euronext (Dutch)

  3. Thanks so much for that cvds16.....greatly appreciated.....and yes I am looking for the biggest and assuming they are the most liquid.

    most liquid one is Eurostoxx50
DAX is also quite liquid if you keep into account the big size of it, it's more volatile though.
I'd stick to those of I were you.

  5. You have over 6000 posts on "Elite Trader" and you do not know the index futures for the European Indices? :sneaky:

Here's a chart I did many years ago regarding FESX volume and Time of Day.
Note: The volume data has not been updated since the original analysis.
    I trade from the USA.

Mini DAX may be a good option as well depending on your account size and risk appetite.
