Hi , I was interested in your experiences trading the GE. What times have you seen the GE most active. I believe most people would hedge. I have also been reading people might buy multiple contracts and take profit on a few ticks. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks
I have 2 systems, one very long term which until recently was not making much past 7 years, but was a good thing as had to learn other ways to generate anything. And other is short term but as well always in and 60 minute timeframe. It good spreading market as it goes out like 10 years. I never trade front month but like right now trading Dec 17 contract for out rights, one of the few markets I don't hedge cause risk is very acceptable. Heavier time starts with 0700 cdt. Good luck.
its not a fifo market but one strategy is put out gtc orders on everything outrights, spreads, flys, packs, bundles and manage inventory

I am not doing any day-trading kind of stuff, but longer term trading. I am scaling in and out of my position, based on GE pricing and an analysis of trend following, momentum and value volatility. This is not specific to GE, I'm using the same methodology also for other instruments. I do not hedge my position. I currently use the December 2017 contract for my trades.
