ET Iowa Dems, don’t forget to caucus for me tomorrow!

  1. Why bother showing up to vote for a rotting corpse in Biden? Back me instead. I’m taking this really seriously, working to get out the vote from Australia. Plan to give my victory speech from the Australian Open tomorrow night (midday for me).

    but do you condemn hamas?

  3. The word "condemn" to me basically means wag your finger. It's pretty pointless. I think it's pretty clear that I think Hamas is an Islamic terrorist organization and I would like to see them eliminated from the planet.

That said, I hate the argument of "Israel's right to exist". I don't think any country has a moral right to exist. Countries are clearly a form of segregation. They were all formed through centuries of bloodshed orchestrated by people who obtained power. I would like to see a worldwide transition away from nationalism, but one where different economic/social philosophies can be practiced so that we can all learn from one another.

  4. The real truth is there isn’t even a real caucus for the Democrats this time, because Biden and the DNC collaborated to shut out any competition. I’m not convinced Biden will beat Trump. He’s not going to be able to hide in his basement all campaign, the dude looks like a rotting corpse, and he’s never had enthusiastic support to begin with. I seriously don’t know a single person who really likes him. Almost all of his support comes from people holding their nose, because they hate Trump. No matter what Biden says about the economy, he can’t undo the damage that inflation has done to people over the next year. In order for that to happen we would need actual deflation. This is the single issue that will piss off swing voters and likely cause many of them to stay home. I don’t believe any of the other bills he’s passed during his presidency can make up for this. We have a split government and Biden is going to get nothing done this year. Biden essentially needs Trump to get convicted. If Trump walks Biden is in trouble, because the entire campaign will be focused on trying to make people hate Trump more. Don’t know if that will work. Abortion is the other issue that might save him as it did Dems in the midterms, but like what tends to happen with other issues, enthusiasm among the pro-choice crowd might be dying with time.

For the record, no presidential nominating caucuses will be held for the democrats tonight in Iowa. Democrats have until February 5th (I think) to mail in the nominee preference ballots.

Tonight’s Democratic caucuses will be local and state party business centered. Forming committees and naming chairs.

If you don’t have to go out in Iowa tonight, you should not!

  6. I think if the Democrats had a candidate as popular as DeSantis is among Republicans they would have been able to beat Biden in the primaries. I know DeSantis flopped, but that’s, because Trump is extremely popular with the GOP base. I think he would have won the nomination easily in a race absent of Trump as most Trump voters would never go to Haley. If anybody else gained it would have been Ramaswamy. Biden isn’t popular. A crazy spiritual author and a congressman nobody has ever heard of had no shot. The media tried to sell Newsom, but he doesn’t have broad appeal to the electorate. He’s just your standard establishment politician. The party appears to be a coalition of people unified against Trump, but doesn’t really stand for anything new and exciting like elected presidents normally do.

Trump is insecure and will surround himself with people that fear law-fare = uni-party wins again.
Conservatives have become Trump or nothing and we may end up with nothing.
Vivek would actually do what he says because he has principles and wealth.
DeSantis has principles but no wealth, so he's a leaf in the wind.

  8. I find Vivek to be quite logically inconsistent. He talks about the evil religion of wokism and climate change yet takes nationalism to that same religious-like level. He knows he’s not winning so I think he’s been in the race solely to make a name for himself.

Trump will be convicted if the Supreme Court does not grant him immunity.

In the meantime, Trump is currently dismantling his Republican competitors while not showing up to any of the Republican debates. Essentially, he's too busy doing other things and "feels" he can win the Republican nomination while sitting at home eating more cheeseburgers while the Republicans set a recent record with their in-fighting as the 118th Congress became the least productive in U.S. political history.

Simply, the 118th Congress has passed only about 34 bills...while concentrating on passing new voting laws to disenfranchise millions of legal voters (making it more difficult to vote), bringing more evangelism religion into the classroom even if the students have a different religion, still embracing the BIG LIE, still trying to get rid of Obamacare while millions more Americans now have health insurance that they did not have before Obama Presidency or almost lost during the Trump Presidency, attacking women's rights/privacy to their bodies, et cetera.

In comparison, the 117th Congress, which took place during President Joe Biden's first term, passed 362 bills, according to the data.

With that said, a storm is brewing (I'm not talking about the current ignored Climate Change issues) and it's going to open the doorway for an Independent to sneak into the White House.

    You're running as an Independent...right ???
