3.5 point slippage on tight stops. Fucking robots...I am so glad I am not in this shit anymore(observed in the trading room). They plunged and bought it right back (bar 24/5-minute)
Robot House !!! Why dont you use "shit" like this to your advantage ? Dont use tight stops, and buy quickly after such plunges. Robots can be your friends !
No, my friend, I am no longer the pawn in this game. If I had the balls and the money I might do it but I am just a retiree who wants some decent returns. I have given up on being rich from trading. After all, I am 64 in Dec. what the fuck would I do with the money, marry are hot 30 y.o.?
There are always hookers and black jack to spend money on, but marrying a hot 30 y.o. is also an option.
I have no aspirations "to go out"...However, I do not want to go for a large score as the larger win implies a potentially bigger loss. I am a bit more risk-averse. 3.5 point slippage is a bit too much even on one contract, the person traded had definitely more than one. If I wanted to gamble I played poker.
enjoy your retirement if you have enough. work on strategies that have bigger stop losses and longer time horizons so you don't get taken out by intraday noise
My biggest trading day ever (with regulated futures) came on one of those in Eurex. I was trading Proprietary at the time and I was filled on a thousand lot. Big fat finger from a German bank desk. The Chicago Eurex office called me and wanted to know if I'd bust the trade I asked if it was within legal exchange daily range trading limits and when they affirmed in the positive I declined. Paid off a couple cars and bought a boat with that.
STOP blaming the robot! STOP giving wrong information !!! There was no 3.5 points slippage. The 4000 contracts in 5 minutes were very small! the average number of contracts is 20000 contracts in 5 minutes. There were many happy traders on 13 Nov. Because ES went up massively by 90 points on 13 Nov. It started to go up during the mid-Asian session !!! It continued to go up during the European session !!! And it continued to go up during the US session !!! So many traders profited from this massive movement. There are no killer robots killing day traders. So stop blaming the robot, and start to profit massively from trading ES.
Stick to Hookers, different 1 every time and zero nagging, unless you pay extra. 64 might aswell get into the hard drugs, not going to live for ever after all.
It is not the number of years but the quality of life that matters. In the global scope of things, a hundred years is just a blip, yet there are those who fuck their life up in their early years; existing miserably for wanting to be rich or powerful - usually, ONLY those who least covet these, will get it.
