This is a longshot, but it you don't ask, you def will never find out!

Does anyone know of an android app, from any broker, or fee paying developer, that is designed for scalping the ES / NQ?

Such features would include buttons for...

    buy/sell market/bid/ask
    close all positions
    reverse trade
    up/down x no. of ticks

similar to the buttons IB have for their booktrader and charts - IB's mobile app has a small booktrader, but it is crap, and no good asking IB to do anything, as they never listen:rolleyes:

I will open a new account if I can find a broker with such an android app, or buy the app from a developer - not sure how easy it is to design an app to link to the likes of IB via android device?

    Thx,

Thx KP, will have a look and see how it compares to IB app - no sign of those important buttons though - hopefully they are customisable - wishful thinking!

Who develops these apps - for it's obviously not people who scalp - they probably don't even trade:rolleyes:

Thought as much - well, we keep on looking and asking!

  6. Hello @J_Smith,

We have a multitude of current and former traders here at TT and that includes myself. I've had a hand in managing the mobile app, TT Mobile, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about it.

It's true, customization is very limited at this time but we will be opening that up over time.

    Best regards,

Thx PR, nice to see someone with a bit of interest, which is how it should be - not like IB!

I am very interested in a mobile app that aids scalping as detailed, and will have a look at your app and see what you say then to my questions.

I take it I can get a demo to try it?

No prob opening an account if I can get what I am looking for - no one seems to have thought of these very important buttons for mobile apps yet- for scalping anyway!

IB app is ok, but lacks some very simple things.

You need to have order details on chart page and get rid of stupid news details - taking up valuabe space.

If using app for scalping, which is the goal, I must have reverse position and close all positions buttons on the chart page, as they are crucial to me for scalping.

It is impossible to use IB's app at the moment for scalping, just cost you money.

Their PC chart and booktrader setups are very good - no complaints there.

  9. You may download the phone apps and create a demo account from there. On the welcome screen in the app there is a "Don't have an ID? Sign Up" link just below the "LOG IN" button. Click the "Sign Up" link to create a demo account with access to CME products. Prices are delayed by 10 minutes in demo accounts.

Am guessing, but those who scalp for a living won't rely on putting in trades over a cell phone.
Where speed and reliability is best, nothing beats T-1 or at worst fastest cable, THEN fastest DSL. I have done it on few occasions of doing small lots, and it is like waiting few seconds and miss entries. Scalping generally means making ticks and not many points per at a clip.
