As a non US resident one can buy the Ireland-domiciled CSPX to reduce dividend withholding tax. CSPX is accumulating so the dividend is automatically reinvested. Is there an equivalent to selling SPY/SPX covered calls for CSPX?
You can still trade spy options in Europe even though you cannot buy the underlying. If you want to do covered calls then look at spx or es. The contract size is larger so commissions are less.
The automatically reinvested dividend is after 15% withholding tax between US and Ireland. So the withholding tax between US and your country is higher?
My country does not have tax treaty with the US. So I assume there is no further withholding. I only got Covered Call trading permissions with my broker. Not sure if I can apply for selling Puts.
