Hey buddy, quit playing BS with semantics. Today's deficit will be tomorrow's debt. All same thing in the long run.

Only a return to politicians being part time jobs , as it was originally intended, will end it. There is no incentive for career politicians to stop their ludicrous spending.

The Democrats want a spend & tax regime where their buddies get exceptions in the IRC & the Republicans just want tax cuts & spending for their projects like the MIC for endless wars.

In other words just pure and simple vote buying. That is what America has become. This country is doomed to the Plutocrats that run it.

    Not BS at all.

If you have a credit card balance do you facking care about the minimum due or the whole shebang.

The long term plan seems to be deficit spending into hot inflation prints (rel to 2%) with a faux hawkish Fed, and in so doing, the increased tax receipts will swell up enough so that the deficit is relatively small when compared to revenue/total spend.

Inflating the debt away, would more aptly be described as inflating the tax revenue vis a vis the magnitude of the deficit, thereby making them relatively more palatable to those critics of US gov profligacy.

The responses veer away front the original question. This is a typical result on ET.

  9. Joe Kennedy Sr. led the charge into a totally corrupt Fed Goverment.
it was his dream, that Fed bureaurocrats would gain wealth and power,
Same as the 19th Century capitalists.
Now the whole thing has gotten so bizarre,
Looks like all the national.politicians are "on the take".
In a different time (George Washington) would all be hung at dawn.
that's the influence of Joe Kennedy Sr.
He had a great smile, same as his kids.
    The good news ends there.
    Not good.
