He's proven himself a righteous defender of the constitution as seen on the Flynn case and countering Dejoy's attempt at fascism:
Yeh sure. Wayyy to go Emmett. Maybe just go back to working on the same one case you have been working on for four years and have still not resolved even though every one else on the planet including the Supreme Court know what you will have to end out doing once you have milked all the political juice out of it. Let's see now. Sullivan is a district court judge for DC and he is taking aggressive and courageous action to make sure that the 32 Trump voters in DC do not win the election by unfairly suppressing the Biden vote. Okay. Good job Emmett. What an action figure. So Here4Corpses immediately starts panting and wants to get in bed with him.
‘Mind-blowing’: Experts stunned by 3 AM Trump tweets threatening Supreme Court Justices President Donald Trump in the middle of the night launched a 45 minute Twitter tantrum that ended with an attack on the Supreme Court’s justices, one-third of whom he placed on the bench. Trump clearly was furious about a recent ruling handed down by eight of the now-nine justices. The Court ruled that Pennsylvania and North Carolina can accept absentee ballots after Election Day. The president went ballistic, threatening the nation’s top jurists. “If Sleepy Joe Biden is actually elected President, the 4 Justices (plus1) that helped make such a ridiculous win possible would be relegated to sitting on not only a heavily PACKED COURT, but probably a REVOLVING COURT as well. At least the many new Justices will be Radical Left!” The president is making clear not only that he is planning to contest the results of the election all the way to the Supreme Court, but that he fully expects the Court to hand him the win. To be clear, unlike in some states, there is nothing in law that allows a presidential candidate to contest the results of an election. But Trump’s legal team, and Jared Kushner, reportedly have been planning how to take the election to the Court for months. Experts weighed in. Princeton professor Steven Strauss, who “has advised governments on public policy issues” responded: ACLU attorney Josh Block mocked the president and his defenders: Joshua Geltzer, a Visiting Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center and a former Assistant Attorney General for National Security at the U.S. Department of Justice, among other government roles, slammed Trump’s attack as “mind-blowing”:
Man, what a crock that is. There is nothing in statutory or constitutional black letter law that specifies when a candidate might be entitled to a recount, etc, as some states have but other than that a candidate can contest and challenge the validity and results of an election in any way that they wish and probe every irregularity ad nauseum. And yes, Trump has a massive legal team prepared and positioned to do that. And so does Biden. Apparently they have not read this crock article that says "there is nothing in law that allows a presidential candidate to contest the results of an election." In fact, we are about to enter into a period where armies of lawyers on both sides are going to do exactly that and already are.
Trump already lining up the excuses... Did Trump forget how narrowly he won the election in 2016... we are talking a margin of maybe 500,000 votes or less in 3 states, most of which went to Green Party or Libertarian Party. There was no landslide victory over HRC and she was more flawed than Biden. GOP and Trump need to stop playing the election fraud game as though a loss to Biden is out of the question because they are too stupid to really see what happened in 2016. Not only did the Green/Libertarian syphon off votes from an unpopular HRC with many but there was also weak turnouts due to false confidence that HRC would win. Just as the GOP was more energized and cmae out in droves in 2016, it is the Dems turn for a motivted electorate. Claims of fraud and illegals voting is just a smokescreen for ignorant students of history of what really happened in 2016 and how NARROW the margin was in 2016. Don't let the EC vote count fool you because it is a winner takes all system. If Trump won each state by 1 vote only it is not a landslide and after 4 years with a lot of split within the GOP, this election can swing the other way quite easily. If you disagree you are letting your bias cloud the facts of the margin of victory in MI, WI and PA. Look it up. I already posted it.
Hillary more flawed than Biden? Ahhh no. And she had PLENTY of pro-Hillary supporters and voters- not just anti-Trumpers. Joe? Not so much.
Whatever. Out in the real world, in the two primaries where both Hillary and Joe ran, Hillary ran at the top or next to the top, and Joe ran below 1%. She is a more polarizing candidate but so are other winning candidates such as Trump. Joe on the other hand does not have some of those flaws but has the flaw of not being able to excite anybody- which is considered to be major flaw in politics but goes unmentioned because it is a boring flaw- that does not involve Benghazi and emails or hookers. Nevertheless, it is a pretty serious flaw.
Hillary is a crooked crony capitalist. The election in 2016 was about holding your nose and voting for the lessor of two evils --- or voting for some third party candidate (which I will never do again). The 2020 election provides a stark contrast for the two candidates. Joe does not create much enthusiasm -- but huge number of people are voting against Trump rather than for Joe. Most people expect that Joe Biden, no matter his age and faults, will put a competent administration in place that will properly deal with our leading national issues.
Alright well, trying to make a case as to whether Biden or Hillary are better candidates is not really a high area of interest on my part. When even democrats believe that a candidate cannot make it through the first term, I consider that to be a pretty serious flaw, along with the lack of enthusiasm- keeping in mind that we were talking Biden vs. Hillary but have now drifted over into Biden versus Trump. I think that the chaos and administrative issues are a factor but I don't think that dems or the general election voters see Biden as being any stronger than Hillary in that regard. Probably less so if anything. No one thinks that Hillary is just doing what her handlers want. I see that lots of voters want Trump, not just the republican party. I see and saw that lots of voters wanted Hillary, not just the dem party. I think lots of voters want Joe because he is the dem party candidate. That's about it. It is all understandable so I do not need to learn more about why voters arrived there. Just sayin, I do not see the strength of the candidate. I see the strength of his candidacy though.
