Honestly from the website it looks awful....things like "we work smarter not harder" make it sound easy to newbs and the whole we only trade the 1st half hour after the open and then "do what we want" the rest of the day. Guys like this make it sound like you'll be on the beach sippin' pina coladas by 9am. Learning to properly trade takes dedication and hard work. So I reckon this guy is full of crap. That money would be much better served funding a small account after you develop some sort of trading edge.
I've seen his videos on YouTube and he seems legit. It's just the price seems high without knowing someone who has results from it or something.
ET needs to create a section like top-step trader where people making all these facinating claims can rock up and demonstrate their claims.
I'm not going to say that using pivot points is the right way or wrong way to trade, but if you really want to learn about the content this "guru" is claiming to teach, pick up a copy of Frank Ochoa's Pivot Boss. It will cost you less than $100 instead of $3000+. Good luck on your journey to consistent profitability. It is more about figuring out "what doesn't work" to get to "what does work."
That's putting it mildly, from my perspective. Even making plenty of allowance for the fact that it's all vendor sales-talk, this one looks a bit worse than just "awful", IMO. Expressions like "grotesquely misguided" and "clearly ridiculous" come more to mind, here.
May his website is not be as polished as some vendor websites are, but to me that is a plus rather than a minus, as it implies that the teaching is more of a side business and he actually does trade what he teaches. Also, he shows his trades on his charts, and posts a good number of student submissions as well all showing trade markers, etc. And the stuff he links to makes sense in the context of what he writes. Unless someone who has used his material PM's you, it is doubtful you will receive much value here by way of responses. I watched a couple of his videos. He seems far more legit than most of those vendor types posting to youtube. Why not contact him and express your concerns? Maybe he has current or former students whom you could speak with. Good luck!
Is that the guy that uses the MACDbb indicator on various tick charts? If so, I used to watch lots of his vids. I'd be majorly suspicious, but I guess you never know! edit: I bevieve there was a bit of drama over him at bigmikesforum a good few years ago now. I can't quite remember the details, but I think he'd been using a few accounts to pump his service.
No evidence he's a (successful) trader at all. It's like paying money to a fat guy over the internet to be your personal trainer.
